Testimonials

Thank you so much for all your support, knowledge, patience, kindness and nurturing spirits.  I have been proud to recommend your amazing staff and facility.  May you all know in your hearts what wonderful people you are and all you contribute.

Lou, Nancy & Anthony Borini (Tiny Tiger) December 2008

Dear Kyoshi Russ and Shihan Dai Sue,

Tina and I would like to express our appreciation and gratitude to you both, for taking our son under your tutelage. He has really developed a love for karate and we have seen his attitude improve within all areas: home, school and socially. We have seen an increase in respect towards us and toward others. His confidence and self-respect have improved as a result of your training. For a child on the autism spectrum, your school offers a wonderful experience in providing a chance to grow and develop both physically and mentally. You have provided outstanding leadership, discipline and self-control role modeling, in a thoughtful and respectful way and we appreciate all your efforts to reach each student to help them to be their best.

Respectfully yours,

Nick and Tina Greenwood (Junior Karate Program) May 2009

In the years to follow, all members of the McKay family joined Budokai. Our younger son’s self-confidence started to grow from the beginning when he joined the Tiny Tigers program. Both our sons have spent half of their lives training at US Budokai Karate and it has given them a level of self-confidence, discipline and respect that carries over into all areas of their lives. For us as parents, it is a joy to share our karate training with our children. Training at US Budokai is a great way to get in shape and learn about yourself in the process. The workouts have made us all healthier as well as physically and mentally stronger. We each have grown in our own way throughout our years of training and we can’t imagine not having US Budokai Karate in our lives.

As parents, we have more confidence that our children are building their skills to better prepare them for life’s challenges.  Their growth and personal development have been augmented by the many terrific role models and principles and ideals that they have been exposed to over the years at U.s. Budokai Karate.  They have definitely achieved their goals along the way and look forward to more opportunities to continue growing in their knowledge of karate and the respect and value that it stands for.

If I was asked to grade US Budokai Karate of Clifton Park on a scale of 1 to 10, it easily grades a 10.  My children participate in the junior and teen levels, one of whom is a special needs child.  I cannot adequately express my appreciation to Kyoshi, Shihan Sue and all those involved in the teaching of this great sport.  Tough love, humor and tremendous attention to assure their success.  All this results in kids that gain skills at their different levels; and, skills that improve their focus, social skills and discipline.  A great dojo and great people on staff and off.
